For centuries, human beings have reflected by the side of a fire and contemplated life’s greatest questions.
In today’s complex world, we face a lot of big questions, and living with courage and intention requires deep reflection and mindful action. I offer therapy for individuals and couples and training and consultation for other mental health professionals.
Drawing on evidence-based approaches like trauma informed care, polyvagal-informed nervous-system work, and mindfulness —and a deep love for nature and adventure—I guide people toward resilience, authenticity, and meaningful connection both personally and professionally.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Short-Term Residential Program (STRTP) Administrator, and a Training Director for a nonprofit mental health organization.
I’m deeply passionate about relational connection, nervous-system regulation, and the power of nature as a therapeutic context. My work is grounded in the belief that growth and healing are possible at every stage of life. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals, families, and professionals through life’s many transitions—each one an opportunity for reflection, resilience, and renewal.
I’m experienced in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care and draw on the science of polyvagal theory to bring a nervous-system-aware lens to everything I do, from therapy to supervision and team development. Whether you’re seeking greater balance, clarity, or connection, I offer a grounded, nature-inflected, evidence-based partnership to help you move toward what matters most.
I'm a native Petaluman who fell in love with the outdoors while canoe camping on the Russian River and hiking the trails of Point Reyes National Seashore. I have always found solace in nature, turning to it for clarity during life's toughest moments.
I received my Bachelor's Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and my Masters of Social Work from California State University East Bay.
My favorite activities include camping, backpacking, live music, and anything in or by the water. And, of course, I love connecting with my people by the side of a fire.
I have lived experience as the daughter of a transgender parent and cancer survivor, and with loving family members through addiction, cancer treatment, and anxiety & depression. I bring all of who I am to my role as a therapist, including my deep values of honesty, authenticity, and humility.
For a fun story about how Fireside Wellness got its name, see my blog. It's a little woo-woo, but completely true.
